Get Paid to Read Email Jobs Not Worth it!

There are so many paid to read email jobs out there and it simply amazes me why anyone would want to take part in one. While there are legitimate sites you can go to if you want to get paid for reading emails, it really isn’t worth it.

Let’s do the math!

A good non-scammy get paid to check your email site will typically pay around $.01 to $.03 per email that you read. Assuming you could get $.05 per email (which is a big if) and you read 1 email a day for 365 days you would come out with $18.25 for just a year’s worth of work. Oh boy!

Now what if you wanted to sign up for a bunch of services get a bunch of different emails and make it up in bulk? What if your goal was to make an extra $100/month by doing this? Nothing too fancy just some extra spending money.

At $.05 a piece you would have to read 24,000 emails a year to make $1,200 a year or $100 a month. That is 66 emails a day. Now they probably will have some sort of time limit you can’t just click on them and then click the back button while it is loading.

Say it takes you 5 minutes to read an email advertisement. That would mean in order to make $100/month with one of these get paid to read email jobs you would have to work 5 ½ hours a day every day.

This comes out to $.60/hour!

Is your time really worth $.60 an hour? Because I got to tell you if someone offered me $.60 an hour I would not even take them serious.

Ok, now consider the cost of doing this. While most legitimate get paid for reading email sites do not charge any fees it doesn’t mean you will not spend money doing it. Remember you are reading advertisements! Advertisements that are especially designed for you and for what you will likely buy.

You are probably thinking to yourself, “I’ll just never buy anything from these emails.” But don’t underestimate the power of marketing. Remember those sites offering paid to read email jobs get their money from people like you!

The average person will join the program with the intent to make money, read 20 emails in a month and make $1, than they will read the 21st email and find something that is really cool. Maybe it is another get rich quick scheme or maybe it is the answer to their love life problem, but either way you just they just got to have it.

So they buy some eBook for only $20 and proceed to reading it. Meanwhile the company selling the eBook splits the profits with the get paid for reading emails company. This $10 profit is then used to pay the average Joe his $1.05 that he earned.

The average person is happy because they got paid, but behind the scenes those paid to read email jobs are simply paying people out of the money that they make off of them in the first place. If it wasn’t profitable they wouldn’t do it.

Even if you only fall for 1 out of 1000 advertisements that is still going to cut into your profits and when you only make $.60 an hour any little bit can hurt you. Very few people come out ahead financially and nobody will come out ahead when you factor in the time it took to read them.

There are better ways to spend your life and to earn some extra money then by looking for get paid to read email jobs.
