Google Adsense Account Disabled! Now What?

Is your Google Adsense account disabled? If it is there are a couple steps that you can take to hopefully get it back. But this only works if you have been wrongfully accused and can prove it.

The first step is to read the email Google sent you to figure out why you were banned. People can get banned from Adsense for all sorts of reasons from clicking on your own ads to encouraging people to click on the ads to using Adsense ads on the same page as another similar ad network.

Once you figure out why your account was disabled the next step is to see if it was your fault. If you really did break Google’s TOS it is unlikely that you will be able to get your account back. Google has to take care of its advertisers first. They don’t want anything shady going on the publisher side that may cause them to lose their advertisers.

Make sure that you have evidence and statistics to back up your claim. The more information you have the more likely it is that your account will be reinstated.

It will take up to 48 hours to get a response from them (excluding weekends), but you should get a confirmation email right away. After that all you can really do is wait and hope everything turns out ok.

Now before you say that no one actually gets their account reinstated, let me assure you that it does happen. If you are a blogger or website owner who can prove that you where falsely banned you’ll probably get your account back.

In fact it is a good idea to use a couple different ad networks for your site just so that if you do get your Google Adsense account disabled it will not sting as much as you’ll have other sources of online income.

Just make sure that you do not violate anybody’s TOS, otherwise you may get your Google Adsense account disabled for placing two ad networks that don’t fit well together on the same page.
